The TLILIC0005 Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform course gives you the practical skills and safety knowledge required to operate a boom lift with a boom length of 11 metres or more.

Boom-type elevating work platforms are used across construction, mining, maintenance, infrastructure and industrial workplaces to safely position workers, tools and materials at height. This nationally recognised course prepares you to operate the equipment safely and work toward obtaining a WP High Risk Work Licence.

What You’ll Learn

This practical, hands-on course will teach you how to:

• Plan and prepare for EWP operations
• Identify hazards and implement effective controls
• Conduct pre-start checks and inspect safety equipment
• Assess ground conditions and set up the EWP safely
• Position, elevate, slew and lower the platform
• Operate safely around structures, people and overhead hazards
• Monitor changing workplace conditions
• Respond to emergencies and equipment faults
• Shut down, secure and pack up the EWP correctly

You will develop the confidence to operate telescopic, hinged or articulated boom-type elevating work platforms safely and efficiently in real workplace conditions.
